And the Son of Chechen Commander was Handed Over to Russia

The son of Chechen field commander who arrested in Egypt on May 27,2009, was handed over to Russia yesterday despite to whole efforts of human rights activists.

As we previously reported, Egypt have deported 4 Chechens to Russia on June 18, 2009 and 2 Chechens was late to airport and they couldn’t send back that day. But yesterday, the son of Chechen field commander Maskhud Abdullaev (22) and another Chechen Akhmad Azimov have deported to Russia.


According to human rights activist, Akhmad Azimov was released after his interrogation at Moscow Domodedovo but the fate of Maskhud Abdullaev is unknow.

The father of Maskhud Abdullaev is the well known Chechen field commander Supyan Abdullaev. Supyan was appointed as the Minister of Finance by shaheed Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov in 2004. The dismissed ex-Chechen President Dokka Umarov was appointed him as the Vice President of Chechen Republic Ichkeria in 2007. Supyan Abdullaev is still in the mountains of Chechnya and fighting againt Russian occupants.

According to mother of Maskhud Abdullaev, she has been divorced from Supyan for a long time ago. Her and her son Maskhud has no communication with Supyan.
