Ali Artamov, head of the village administration of Stary Achkhoy, and his son Anzor, who worked as his father's security, have been murdered in Chechnya.

As reported by the republic's law enforcement bodies, Mr Artamov and his son left their work at 5:30 p.m. Moscow time. On the road, two unidentified gunmen opened fire on their car. As a result of the attack the administration head died in situ, and his son - on the way to hospital.
"Anzor Artamov was inside the school building. His father Ali got out of his car and went in direction of the houses built for the returning refugees. At that moment two unidentified persons opened fire on him; he died from the received wounds. Having heard the shots, Anzor rushed out of the school and tried to prevent departure of the gangsters, who were already sitting in his father's car; however, he was also shot dead by the gunmen," the ITAR-TASS quotes the spokesman of the operative staff for the Chechen Republic.

The administration of the Achkhoy-Martan District has confirmed the murder of Artamov and his son. Ali Artamov was about 60, his son - 20 years old, the "Interfax" writes.

Recent Russian troop exercises simulated an attack on Poland and the suppression of an uprising by the Polish minority in Belarus, claims Wprost magazine.

Wprost writes that it has seen documents which show that troop exercises near Poland’s border in September portrayed Poland as "a potential aggressor."
