Appeal to Collect Materials about the Chechen Genocide

Anzor Maskhadov sent an appeal related to the new project about “the Genocide of Chechen People in 20th and 21st centuries”.

Here is the appeal:

Dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters!

We are working on a project about the genocide of the Chechen people. The aim of the project is collecting, analyzing and disseminating information about the crimes against our people in 20th and 21st centuries.

Unfortunately, the world knows almost nothing about the tragedy of our people. It is our duty to spread this information in order to restore historical justice in the name of the memory of all those killed, bringing peace for the sake of future generations. Only the broadest possible publicity can guarantee that this does not occur again.

In connection with this appeal, we ask you to help in our joint work. We need:

1. To gather as many facts about the crimes. If you have any materials like photos, audio, video footage or eyewitness accounts etc., then please send them to our e-mail address This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

2. When we determine when and where the events happened, then these existing materials will appear in the photo gallery on our website, as well as the names of the victims. If you have information about a particular photo, please write us via the address above.

3. Please distribute this message to as many people as possible. Only by working together, can we achieve significant results.

We need your help!

The website of the project: http://www.chechentragedy.com

Sincerely,
Anzor Maskhadov, the author and manager of the project

Moscow was perplexed about the decision made by the Ukrainian authorities to ban Moscow mayor Luzhkov from entering Ukraine. Moscow found nothing wrong with Luzkov's calls to start redrawing the Ukrainian map and handing the port city of Sevastopol, Crimea, to Russia.
